Welcome to the Diabetes Community Forum! This sub-forum is for people who have been newly diagnosed with any type of diabetes, to talk to others with the disease and to get help and support.

Receiving a diagnosis of diabetes, as with any chronic disease, can be a big shock, and people often undergo a large range of emotions. From sadness, to anger, and to grief; diabetes can often cause depression.

You need to understand that diabetes isn't the end of the world, and it will not prevent you from living a 'normal' life. The treatment and management can seem pretty daunting when you first start out, but the people on this forum are a testament to that fact.

This forum can offer you help, support, and information on managing the condition, and you can talk to other who know exactly what you are going through.

Feel free to ask questions, pick up some tips, share stories or just have a rant.

You might want to take a look at the newly diagnosed page to find out some background information.
