I have a Contour BS monitor. I've noticed that on my right hand, I may have higher BS numbers and on my left hand lower numbers, when taken at the same time. Could the monitor just be getting old? I've had it for 3+ years. Any thoughts on why it sometimes is a 30 point difference between hands? (I do wash my hands and sometimes will use alcohol wipes before testing). Anyone have any ideas?

Apparently the blood flow ect can vary from finger to finger plus if you factor in the 15% error rate that is allowable with meters that would explain the issue. I usually test on my writing hand and usually the same finger is used throughout the day.
