Hey guys, my name is Cindy.

I am here on behalf of my mom, who just been diagnosed with diabetes type 2 around 1 week now.
I hoping to learn a lot about diabetes and help my mom live a healthier lifestyle.
I'm mostly worried right now on what is good for her to eat. I understand I have to watch her sodium, carbs, and sugar intake. But I don't know what is a good amount (of sodium, carbs and sugar) for each meal.
She used to mostly eat white rice to be full, but it is not allowed since it high in carbs. So she get hungry fast and I don't know what to fill her up.

Any advise will be nice =)
    Thank You in Advance

Hi and welcome to the forum. Generally as you cut down on carbs it is a good idea to increase the fats in your diet which in turn helps you to stay full for longer. How is your mum doing so far.
